FreshieMushroom is read-only editorial content provided “as is” for personal reference. The content is the property of Veryation, the sole proprietorship that operates the Freshie family of sites. It is not an identification authority — never eat a wild mushroom based on this site. If you have a dispute, please email first so we can resolve it directly.

Safety — read this one
Mushroom identification is genuinely dangerous to get wrong, and several edible species have deadly look-alikes. This site is an educational reference about culinary mushrooms, not an identification guide or foraging authority. Never consume a wild mushroom based on information here. Use expert in-person identification (local mycological societies, e.g. the North American Mycological Association) before eating anything foraged. Veryation accepts no liability for foraging or consumption decisions.
Intellectual property, trademarks & data use
FRESHIE™ is a trademark of Veryation (U.S. federal trademark application pending). “FreshieMushroom” and the Freshie family of marks identify Veryation’s network of food & beverage reference publications. Third-party names appear for editorial reference only and remain the property of their respective owners.
